Alpha Chat: the planned AI chat assistant in Alpha AI

Status: Alpha AI is pre-launch. Nothing on this page is available to use yet. It describes what we are building and how it is planned to work.

Alpha Chat is the conversation studio at the center of Alpha AI, the all-in-one AI app being built by Alpha Intelligence. The goal is simple: ask a question in plain words, get a clear answer, and see where the facts came from so you can check them yourself. This page explains what Alpha Chat is designed to do, how AI chat assistants work in general, and how to get better answers from any of them.

What Alpha Chat is designed to do

Alpha Chat is planned as the place you start. At launch, you will be able to:

  • Ask anything in everyday language, from “explain compound interest with an example” to “help me plan a study schedule.”
  • Follow up naturally. The conversation is designed to keep its context, so you can say “make that shorter” or “now compare it with the other option.”
  • See sources for current facts. For news and anything that changes, Alpha Chat is being built to look up live sources while it answers and show them next to the reply.
  • Hand off to other studios such as Alpha Image, Alpha Code or Document Chat without copying text between apps.

The planned models behind it

Alpha Chat is being built around the planned Alpha model family. Alpha 0.5 is planned as the default for chat with sources, and specialist models are planned for jobs like step-by-step reasoning, long reports, translation and code. Alpha will route tasks to specialized models, some built on open-source foundations. The idea is that you can stay on the default or switch to a specialist when it fits the job better. You can read what each planned model is for on the Alpha AI models page.

How AI chat assistants work, in plain English

Chat assistants run on large language models. A language model learns patterns from a very large amount of text, then writes a reply one small piece at a time, choosing what is most likely to come next. That is why AI chat can sound fluent and helpful. It is also why it can be confidently wrong: a fluent sentence is not the same as a checked fact.

There are two common ways to make answers more reliable. One is to give the model the right information while it writes, such as search results or a document you uploaded. The other is to show the sources it used so a person can verify them. Alpha Chat is being designed to do both for questions where facts matter.

Why showing sources matters

If you are a student writing an essay, a founder checking a market or anyone reading the news, “trust me” is not good enough. A visible source lets you open the original page, read the context and decide for yourself. It also makes mistakes easier to catch: if the source does not say what the answer claims, you know to dig deeper. That is the standard we want Alpha Chat to meet.

How to get better answers from any AI chat

These habits work with any assistant today, and they will work with Alpha Chat at launch:

  • Be specific. “Summarize this in five bullet points for a 10th-grade reader” beats “summarize this.”
  • Give context. Say who the answer is for, what you already know and what you will use it for.
  • Ask for sources on anything factual, then open at least one of them.
  • Check numbers, dates and names. These are where AI mistakes most often hide.
  • Keep private things private. Don’t paste passwords, ID numbers or other people’s personal details into any chatbot.
  • Treat health, legal and money answers as a starting point, not professional advice.

What Alpha Chat will not do

Alpha AI will never ask you to connect a crypto wallet, claim tokens, send cryptocurrency or share a password. If anything claiming to be Alpha Chat asks for those, it is not us. Our official accounts are listed on the About Alpha AI page, and you can report anything suspicious to info@alphaai.site.

Where Alpha Chat stands today

Alpha Chat is being designed and built, and there is no public version yet. Alpha Intelligence was founded by Benjamin G. Ocal, and we would rather tell you exactly where things stand than show a demo that doesn’t exist. If you want to be among the first to try it, join the Alpha AI waitlist. It only takes an email address, and we will let you know when early access opens.
