Alpha Image: the planned AI image studio in Alpha AI

Status: Alpha AI is pre-launch. Nothing on this page is available to use yet. It describes what we are building and how it is planned to work.

Alpha Image is the picture studio planned for Alpha AI, the all-in-one AI app being built by Alpha Intelligence. The idea: describe a picture in a sentence and get an image back, in the shape you need. This page explains what Alpha Image is designed to do, how text-to-image AI works, how to write a good image prompt, and how to use AI images responsibly.

What Alpha Image is designed to do

  • Turn a description into a picture, such as “a black-and-gold desk lamp on a dark wooden table, soft morning light.”
  • Pick the shape: square for social posts, portrait for phone screens, wide for headers and slides.
  • Improve short prompts. If you type only a few words, Alpha Image is planned to expand them into a more detailed description so the result comes out richer.
  • Work with the other studios, for example making a header image for a blog post you drafted in Writing Studio.

Alpha Image is part of the planned Alpha model family. Alpha will route tasks to specialized models, some built on open-source foundations. The Alpha AI models page shows where it fits.

How text-to-image AI works, simply

Most modern image generators use a method called diffusion. During training, a model looks at a huge number of images with captions and learns how to remove noise from a picture step by step. To create a new image, it starts from random noise and gradually shapes it into something that matches your description. Your words guide every step, which is why small changes to a prompt can produce very different pictures.

This also explains common weaknesses. Hands, small text inside images, exact counts of objects and precise logos are hard, because the model is matching patterns rather than drawing from a plan.

How to write a good image prompt

A useful prompt usually answers five questions:

  • Subject: what is in the picture? “A red fox sitting in the snow.”
  • Style: photo, watercolor, 3D render, flat illustration, pencil sketch.
  • Lighting and mood: golden hour, studio light, foggy, cheerful, dramatic.
  • Composition: close-up, wide shot, from above, centered, plenty of empty space for text.
  • Shape: square, portrait or wide, depending on where it will be used.

Start simple, look at the result, then change one thing at a time. That is faster than writing a perfect paragraph on the first try.

Using AI images responsibly

  • Don’t impersonate real people. Creating fake photos of real people, especially to mislead, is harmful and in many places illegal.
  • Respect other people’s work. Avoid prompts designed to copy a living artist’s signature style or a brand’s trademarked logo.
  • Be open about it. If an image is AI-generated and that matters to your audience, say so.
  • Check the details. Look for odd hands, warped text or impossible objects before you publish.

Before launch, we will publish the rules Alpha Image follows, including what kinds of images it will refuse to create.

Who Alpha Image is for

Alpha Image is being designed for creators who need visuals for posts and videos, students making presentations, and small businesses that want a quick concept before they hire a designer. It is a starting point for ideas, not a replacement for photographers and artists.

Where Alpha Image stands today
